Blog Post #1 | Introduction
Hello world!
My name is Isaac Livingston and this is a place where I can share my work, my life, and random things at my will. Mainly to keep a documentation of stuff that I am doing and a place to hold myself accountable. This (blog) I will say is mainly for me only, but if anyone happens to see these for whatever reason then that's ok too. In this moment in time I am feeling very stuck (and I maybe felt like this for a while now). I feel like I have everything within my disposal to do great things. I am very lucky and am grateful for where I am at in life. But I also enter adulthood and am realizing "ok i need to take things seriously..figure out what you want to do and how you are going to live." I've been introduced to lots of things during these past years of my own journey. I've watched coutless videos on self-improvement and success, looked into ecommerce, tired things, etc.. I've picked up a few things like reading and journaling and more. But with all that I do I am left blank. Who am I and what do I like doing? I guess this is time to introduce what I enjoy and plan to do with my life for my future. I enjoy making videos. I've always have. I started as a kid making lil tutorial origami videos (me copying other peoples stuff..), and continued on to little skits which were a bit cringy, but fun, and to gaming videos. I've dove deeper into this world of video and media and art. I went to school for filmmaking and I earned a degree. And now I'm here.. Counting the days and left with tons of blank space and little direction. So, this is the start. Well the 8th, or 9th, or how many other times I "started."
This blog should support my work in whatever I decide to do and I hope it to be an outlet to share my creative process or just random stuff like I mentioned. The scraps, the process, the dirty work, however you want to call it. It's another device to use, different from social media, and its own entity. It's sorta more private as opposed to social media and already feels wayy different. Which is a good thing. Like I'm talking to a audience but not. It's public but like journal entries in a way. IDK.
Anyway, enough talk, here is something I made recently..(recently as in earlier this month)
Pretty cool, I made it just randomly one night. I got inspired from Austin Kleon (and me starting this blog actually too was in part inspired by him and his book Share Your Work), I read one of his books and he does this kind of blackout poetry thing, so I gave it a try with my own twist. That's it for now, until next time!
